Elixir Jewelry
Handmade jewelry rooted in honest craftsmanship.
Each piece carries its own story.
About me
My name is Rudolf Molnar.
I am a goldsmith and enameler dedicated to designing and creating handmade jewelry. My work begins with traditional goldsmithing techniques, precise discipline and a strong focus on material quality and detail.
I am a member of the Guild Council of the Guild of Goldsmiths and Jewelers of Slovakia, a member of the British Society of Enamellers, and a registered Fair Trade goldsmith. I consider these roles a natural extension of a responsible approach to craftsmanship and the ethical origin of materials.
My work has been presented at both domestic and international exhibitions.
Alongside my own studio practice, I work as the professional guarantor of the Metal and Jewelry Studio at the Nitra Creative Center, where I contribute to the development of craft education and hands-on work with metal.
As one of the few goldsmiths in the region, I specialize in true vitreous (stained glass) enamel - a demanding technique that requires time, experience, and precision. This process allows me to create jewelry with deep color and optical clarity.

Studio
At the Elixir Jewelry studio, each piece is created with the utmost care. Between metal, fire, and the hands of a goldsmith, jewelry is formed with its own character and story.
My work combines traditional goldsmithing techniques with precise, disciplined craftsmanship. I rely on proven methods and precision tools in an environment designed to support focus and quality. Every detail and every surface finish is created here — under my direct control, with respect for material, time, and the craft itself.
This approach is reflected in the quality, integrity, and final appearance of each piece of jewelry.

Collaboration
Our collaboration emerged naturally, rooted in a shared respect for vitreous enamel as a medium that demands time, precision, and full presence from its maker.
With Trish White, an artist based in New York and the founder of the international platform Grains of Glass, we are connected by a common understanding of craft: we do not see enamel as mere decoration, but as a noble, durable, and fully expressive material.
Each of us approaches enamel from a different cultural and personal background. My work grows out of traditional goldsmithing and jewelry-making, while Trish comes from the field of contemporary fine art and independent artistic practice. Enamel has become our shared language — a space where technical discipline meets artistic freedom.
The culmination of this collaboration was our joint exhibition in Prague. It created a space where different approaches, scales, and meanings could meet — jewelry and object, Europe and America, tradition and the contemporary. The exhibition was not only a presentation of finished works, but an open dialogue about where enamel as a medium can move today.
For both of us, this collaboration confirms that honest craftsmanship and an authentic artistic voice can transcend borders, languages, and geography. It continues to be a source of inspiration, mutual respect, and an ongoing creative dialogue that reaches beyond a single exhibition or project.

Technical Museum in Brno
I have been cooperating with the Technical Museum in Brno for a long time, specifically with the metal restoration department. I participate in professional seminars and symposia focused on historical metal and jewelry processing techniques. Cooperation with restorers allows me to work with historical jewelry and artifacts from different periods. I am dedicated to repairs, reconstructions and the study of original technological processes. Many of these techniques are now almost forgotten or are used only exceptionally. This professional activity deepens cooperation and respect for the tradition on which goldsmithing and jewelry restoration are built.
